Lactic acid: Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid and promotes a more homogeneous distribution of melanin in the skin for an even and clear complexion. In addition, lactic acid has an antioxidant effect and inhibits the tyrosinase effect. Lactic acid attracts water molecules to the stratum corneum and stimulates ceramides, improving barrier function and providing a natural moisturizing effect on the skin.
